  • According to London’s Telegraph, a new pop-culture museum is in the works: Masterminded by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, it will become the first government-built national centre dedicated to uniting modern Japanese media arts, according to the Asahi Shimbun. Cutting-edge animation is one of Japan’s most famous exports, with its credentials boosted further by a Japanese creation scooping an Oscar this year for Best Animated Short Film. Well saddle up your otaku brain because now you can take the Anime-kentei and receive your degree in anime-ology.  Also available are the maid proficiency exam and coming soon… manga.   • Mainichi news has this great photo gallery up at the moment of photos from this anime car convention held in Odaiba. This seems to be the latest fad (along with dancing to the ending theme of Haruhi and Vagina in a can) in Akihabara at the moment, putting pimp, ripped, banging and off the hook anime related decals all over your ‘taku mobile and cruising the infinite traffic jam that is Akihabara.
